Lightweight (235 grams) 3D printed 10-spoke Snek.
In combination with the lightweight 3D printed bow pulleys, you save approximately 30% on the back-and-forth moving weight between the foot sled and freewheel housing on your rear axle.
This means you can cycle with less tension on the elastic, as you need to decelerate and accelerate this mass with each stroke through the elastic.
You will notice, even on flat terrain, that you row lighter, losing 30% less energy in reversing the motion of that mass.
Less tension on the elastic is also very pleasant, as it is easier to (re)apply the elastic. Especially with the large Ø 250 mm Snek, this required quite some precision and cost strength and time - you rarely or never succeed in getting the tension on the elastic to the desired level in one go.
