Home port for the EC Rowingbike 2012 is Noordzee Residence de Banjaard

The first two European Championships (1999 and 2000) were also organised from de Banjaard. Since 2007 we have used this very suitable location again, hosted by main sponsor Roompot holidays. De Banjaard is a luxurious holiday resort, directly south of the Oosterscheldekering and therefore very close to the start/finish location on Neeltje Jans (click map to enlarge).

All row cyclists, including non-Europeans, may enter. Main racing class will be the THYS 209 class,
Slower types of rowingbike are permitted to compete for the prices and title within the THYS 209 class.
There will be an open class for types of rowingbike ( like THYS 240) that are ranked by the IROF as potential faster than the 209.
Alterations and/ or aerodynamic improvements will not be allowed in the Thys 209 class. In case of doubt contact irof@rowingbike.com.
During all races helmets are obligatory. Participants take part at their own costs and risk.

The result measured is the finishing order of the races. The results of all 4 races held will count for the end result. In case of equal points the result of the sprint will prevail. There will be prices for the first three women and man in the THYS 209 one design class. There is one overall title European Champion for man, so not for the individual races. When five or more women participate there will also be a women's European Champion.

For each contest the participant will receive a number of points equal to his finishing place. Only the 1st place will receive a bonus; he will get 0,75 points. For more details see rules.

For all 4 contests the number of points will be given after the 209 females and open class participants are eliminated from the finishing list.

For all 4 contests the number of points will be given after the 209 male and female participants are eliminated from the finishing list.
For the sprint results the times clocked on saturday will count; Only the finishing places of the sunday's finalists will be changed to the results of the finals.

Unofficial mixed results:
For all 4 contests the number of points will be given without eliminating anyone from the finishing list.

Entrance fee is € 40,- per person and includes € 10,- for membership of the IROF for the year 2011.
If entry fee (and eventual accomodation etc)is paid before september 1st on IROF bankaccount: IBAN NL72INGB0008444029 BIC INGBNL2A on name of : International Rowingbike Federation there is a 5 euro discount.

At 'de Banjaard' you can reserve a bed in a two person bedroom in a 8 person villa type H8. This is a linked bungalow with 4 bedrooms and a private Sauna.

The rent is for the whole weekend beginning Friday afternoon 15.00 hours until Monday morning 10.00 hours. It costs 70,- Euro per person per weekend.
Additionally you can rent a package of sheets and pillow cover, enjoy dinners and a breakfast buffet. You will find the rates on the application form below.
